Water Density (ρw)
All formation waters contain dissolved solids, primarily sodium chloride. Generally, oilfield waters contain much higher concentrations of solids than seawater does.
Formation waters have been reported with total solid concentrations ranging from as little as 200 ppm to saturation, which is approximately 300000 ppm.
